My class may have been difficult for some of you. Some students said they had never written a thesis statement prior to AP US History. Nine students told me they never had to study for class before. Some of you said you had never before worked with a study group. Some of you said you were learning how to organize yourselves, your materials, and your time. Several students admitted they had never before read a textbook!
I hope you have gained positive experiences from my class. I know what my goals for you were, and what I hoped you would learn! So let's take a few minutes to reflect. Pick one or more of these and write:
- What have you gained from the experience of this AP class?
- Was the AP test what you expected?
- If you could take the class over, what would you do differently the second time?
- What did you most enjoy?
- Do you think any differently about US history now?
- Are there US history topics you wish you had more time to pursue now?
- How did you feel about having to complete blog posts?
- What have you learned about yourself?
- Have you gained any new skills or insights?
- What advice would you offer new students?
- Will this class help you in the future? If so, how?
As always, happy blogging to you! I wish you all the very best next year and beyond!
Well what I enjoyed about the class was we had study groups. I never worked with a study group before so, I thought that was cool. Taking an AP class really helped me see how it's going to be like for next year. Overall, this class was Fun! & I'm glad I took AP. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, my study group was very helpful and I was able to understand so many more things at once thanks to them!
DeleteAna M.
Agree, Samantha. Our study group helped tremendously, and I learned a lot. I liked how we all took part in the work. This class also taught us how to write a good thesis statement and how to approach the essays.
DeleteBy taking AP US History this year i have learned/ gained organization skills like binders and time wise by planning out homework. I think this will really help me in college by knowing how to divide sections and how to study. I'm so glad that I learned how to do this and I learned plenty. I'm glad I had you,Ms. Macklin, as a teacher, you made learning fun and i loved your class!
ReplyDeleteI loved her class too!
DeleteIm glad she put up with all of us!(:
DeleteI loved it too! It was a privilege to be called a minion!(': I am going to miss first period. /:
DeleteThis whole year was filled with many opportunities to improve my skills of responsibility. Honestly, I think that the blogs really helped me with this area. I always managed to get them done in time. Some advice that I would like to give to future students would be to always turn assignments in on time. Also, to take advantage of being part of a study group because honestly, it comes in handy especially during the c-notes period. I really enjoyed this class very much and I hope that I am able to apply my new skills next year! Thank you so much! :)
ReplyDeleteAna M.
Yes, turning in your work on time is a good point. Especially if you turn it in early because you get bonus points.
DeleteI agree. Students need to take advantage of being able to have study groups. This year, a lot of people chose wrong people to group with and didn't do much to try and change their habits. If it wasn't for groups, I think this class would have been way harder. Throughout the year, some of Ms. Grosz's students would struggle a lot with C-notes since they were handed in individually and we had the benefit of groups.
DeleteI agree.Working with a study group make assignments way easy and fun as well.
DeleteBlogs were very important because as most of us could tell they gave us practice for the essays on the AP test. Most blog topics came from AP tests.
DeleteThis year was my first year of taking a AP class and it has prepared me a lot more than regular or pre ap would. This class has helped me improve in taking notes and writing essays. At first it was a little difficult for me ,but I'm very glad I took this class.
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree. Taking notes and practicing on the thesis statements helped me a lot also!
Deleteyes, same for me and helped with working in study groups for college. To create some
DeleteWell said Antonia. You were an awesome study group member as well. Sayra those thesis statements really did help me tremendously.
DeleteThis class prepared me a lot in the study view of it. I was a student that was just used to doing my work and not studying but with your class I saw that there was more to it than just handing in my work. I feel like I actually learned this year and by the way you're a GREAT teacher! I love the way you teach and your enthusiasm is amazing! Thank you for everything you did for us. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree, I would never study for my classes before this school year. It really help to review your materials and it really stick to your mind.
DeleteTo all future students : Don`t take advantage of the fact that Ms.macklin gives you many chances ! .When it comes to getting work done and preparing for the AP exam Ms.Macklin is completely serious about it,so pay attention !
DeleteFrom this AP class, I have learned various skills. I've picked up on different studying tactics and habits and have also learned more on responsibility, time management and being organized as others have said. Honestly, the AP test was easier than I expected. If I could take the class again, I would work a lot harder on my procrastination. This year I liked having a study group. My group really helped me with stuff I didn't understand and by dividing the work. Before this class, I had never really learned so much history and had so much actually stick. The only advice I have is for future students to manage their time wisely and to turn everything in on time without procrastinating. Thank you for an amazing, full of learning year!! :)
ReplyDeletethe study groups allowed me to understand documents that i didnt and this class makes you stop procastinating!:)
DeleteI loved this class too! I loved that I learned new study habits and this class kinda sorta took away all my procrastination.:)
DeleteThat is true Guadalupe because a group falls together and rises together. They help each other when a person is down to make sure nobody is left behind.
DeleteI have gained some new studying skills and I have learned that I always try to do my best. For the new students I advise them to study every night just like you always told us and to do ALL their blogs. These blogs help a lot, especially since their FRQ questions from past years. And thanks a lot to you for being a great teacher!
ReplyDeleteThe blogs were a big help when it came down to writing the FRQ's in class. Not only did they help in class but they also were a Major grade. I also want to thank Ms. Macklin for being an amazing teacher and being able to teach in a fun and helpful way. :D
Deletethis year I walked in the AP class thinking it would be difficult and which it was but that's all my fault. If I were to do the class over I would make better schedules to work harder. However I did learn how to write thesis statements and learned of how usefull they could be to the reader with lots of help from my study group members. All together I think your class tought me lots to prepare me for the future so thanks a lot Ms. Macklin / Mcdonald your a awesome teacher to have.
ReplyDeleteI have never actually focused on writing a complex thesis statement until this school year. Before, I was told to restate the topic and just lists three reasons that support my argument. Period. Done. Nothing else was added to my introductory paragraph to help support and thoroughly state my argument.
DeleteThank you, Ms. Macklin.
i enjoyed being a history minion.
* I
DeleteI felt the same way too when I walked into the class on the first day of school, but in reality I made it difficult for myself by procrastinating and plain just being lazy. But complex thesis did help me in my English class with my research paper.
DeleteTo future APUSH students,
ReplyDeleteI advice you to take this difficult course very seriously. Make sure to follow directions and do all that Ms. Macklin tells you. Make sure to listen when lectures are being given, take notes when told to do so and STUDY,STUDY,STUDY. Please read all chapters and take easy, accurate notes. Be a responsible study group member and learn to work with others because that is life skill that you will need. Do ALL your blogs. Learn how to write a thesis statement and practice it because it will not only be beneficial to the AP exam but to any essay or paper you will have to write in the future. Take the time to read and analyze the primary source documents that are being provided. Take advantage of all sources, power points and NUTSHELLS that Ms. Macklin will provide you. Pay attention to all information given and do not forget to study! Hopefully I have not overwhelmed you but help you with the following year.
Sincerely, Alejandra Martinez
I learned a lot in this Ap class. One of the things i learned this year in Ap US History was being able to write a Thesis statement with a Y, ABC, and an X. I had never learned how to write one before so I thought that was pretty cool. If I could ever go back and retake this Ap class i would start by doing my blogs on monday instead of waiting until sunday.
ReplyDeleteI never has to write a complex thesis either, I just wrote what I was talking about, that's it, never an X
DeleteI felt that these blog posts you have posted provided a flash of remembrance of previous historic events that we may have forgotten about. Although, for some blog posts I had to research the topic on the Internet, consult my textbook, or ask my older brother for some insight. Plus, their weekly deadlines gave me a sense of responsibility for my work. I was even excited to do some blog posts because I knew an extensive amount of information on the topic. I honestly think that this should be a requirement for all AP History classes because these blog posts are an excellent way to prepare students for the AP exam.
ReplyDeletei agree with you edgar because these blogs really made us think and gave us the chance to view things in ways that we probably wouldve never thought of. Even though that history is my worst subject i found different ways to understand things by learning and seeing how others do.
DeleteI agree with you, the blog posts really did make me feel responsible for my work because they were a huge part of the grades, and if you didn't do them, then you could easily fail and you have no one to blame but yourself.
DeleteI agree with Edgar because in my old school we did things in order to review the material we went over in the class, but with this method I would say it was more enjoyable because it was more interactive.
DeleteThis is my second year taking my history class at an AP level. I have progressed in my work quality compared to last year. If I had a chance to take the class all over again I would make sure that I started off the year with a good group. My advice to new students would be to be well organized, select their groups wisely, and to always do their work because at the end of the year it all accumulates and then there's a pressure to catch up on their work in order to pass the class.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree about choosing the study group wisely. Do not group with friends. One of them will not do the notes for a valid reason, another will not care, and nasty attitudes begin to annoy everyone in the group. Group with people you don't usually speak to because you won't want to feel like you're the weak link and make everyone fail, therefore everyone will be doing their own work.
DeleteI completely agree, sometimes it is not how you get to work with your close friends but actually do the work and finish it on time.
DeleteIf I took this class over again, I would actually take the class more seriously because I've never had an AP class before so I never had to try in my classes, but this one I had to or else I would have failed. I actually had to study for this class, which I never did before. I really liked this class.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you because I know I slacked off a lot in this class. I could have done better, but now I'm able to learn from this experience. Taking an AP class serious is very difficult but it needs to be done.
DeleteTo future students, take advantage of not only the extra gradepoints that come with this class, but having Ms. Macklin as a teacher. Thank you for wanting us to pass even if we didn't really care for it ourselves. Specifically having you as a teacher, I tried harder to turn in assignments because you showed interest in my grade when it wasn't where it could've been. DO the blog posts! They benefit us, and only us. They are super simple with the help of Google, if you haven't seen your textbook since it was checked out to you. We gain knowledge for the DBQs and FRQs, get an overall grade for just having them done, and that really heps to get a better grade. I really wish I had better punctuality; I probably would have done a lot better in class if I was there most of the time. The AP test was surprisingly a lot easier than I expected. I think it those warm ups we used to have having to answer those multiple choice packets really aided in that.
ReplyDeleteTrue ! Ms. Macklin never losed hope on us,even when some of us started slacking off.
DeleteI'm going to miss this class :(,but thank you for the great teaching experience Ms.Macklin :)
This year i have learned that I do not know how to study properly so that is something I really need to work on! But without realizing I did learn A LOT this year, when i opened the AP test i was surprised that i actually knew the answer to most of the questions! I think the most difficult part of this class was keeping up with my blogs!! I am horrible at that, and i have realized that i procrastinate a whole bunch. For next years students I would suggest that they study their butts off and blog!!
ReplyDeleteAP US History has been a great experience for me.What brought this vivid emotion towards learning about US History was mostly how our teacher managed the class.I used to think Us History as some other class I had to take. This year made me realize that it is an awesome class which we learn from mistakes to achieve a great future.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. though history is not my strongest subject I have learned a lot this year and I am beggining to like history because of the way I was taught this year.
DeleteFully agree. The teacher deserves some props for macking history seem so entertaining and making it stick to personally my brain because before her when it came to history i could here crickets chirping. Now i can talk and talk about all ive learned. Thankyou. Teaching me history was a challenge. This was an awesome class to take :)
DeleteThis year I learned a lot from your lessons. I learned things and poeple that I never knew happened/existed. Honestly, I really liked the whole idea of the study groups it really helped me and with the encouragement of the members, I would try to turn in my work on time. One things I wish I could've done is do all my work(the right way) and turned it in on time. Although it was a long year, I had a good time learning in your class.
ReplyDeleteI liked having a study group they reminded you about worksheets and the about the due dates on certain assignments
DeleteIt also would be a good idea for the future students to understand that they have to choose their study group members wisely, because is with them that they are going to be doing 50% of the work in this class.
DeleteThe day I walked in I was worried because it was my first year taking an AP history class, but as the year progressed it got easier. I learned how to write a Complex Thesis Statement(which in fact wasn't easy), I learned to write complete essays-and going over them, helped out a lot. Also, it was my first time being in a study group, it made work so much easier, but at the same time stressful because some people weren't doing their part. These blog posts reflect on some previous DBQ'S and FRQ'S so pay attention next year history minons!. The AP test was easier than I expected, but it takes time and effort to get a grip on it. I loved working with my study group! .
ReplyDeleteMrs.Macklin you're a great teacher and thank you :)!
The AP test reminded of the SAT test they way the questions were organized. I honesty felt i need good in the DBQ horrible in FRQ 1 and amazing in FRQ 2. I wish i could of turned in all the c notes on time. Blogpost were decent i hated commenting to someone else though because most of the time i didn't know what to say.
ReplyDeleteI don't want this year to end); but the things i most enjoyed about this class was being able to work with study groups so the workload wouldn't be as much. This class taught me how to write cnotes effectively ,write a thesis and study. It was the first time i actually read the history book!I wish we would have went over reagans nixon and bush administration a little more into depth.
ReplyDeleteAgree! I loved my study group! (Love you, Kim lol) we most certainly were able to get more done that way! Also, I learned to write a dbq and frq as well as a good thesis statement! :)
DeleteI have really learned to manage my time in your class this year. Managing time and finding time to do things is very difficult, especially when you have a busy schedule.
ReplyDeleteIf I could re take the AP test over again I would probably study a lot more and prepare myself a lot more than what I did.
Any advice for future incoming kids is to do their work and blog on time. Do not let it catch up with you!
i have learned to do my homework, to keep up with the blogs. Its very important to manage my time. during the AP test some of thie questions came easy although some were also hard. I kthink i did a good job i tried my best.
ReplyDeleteOmg Lisa, yes! I think that keeping up with the blogs must of the greatest challenge this year.
Deletewhat i have learned/gained from being in this ap class is that slacking off and waiting until the last minute to do everything is most likely the worst choice that anyone can make. i found that it was much easier to finish the work right away then doing it all over one night. I learned that im not going to wait for the last minute to do any of my work and do it all as soon as i can so i wont be like everyone else and stress over turning something in on time or not.
ReplyDeleteIf I was supposed to give advice to the new students coming this year, I will tell them to do not procrastinate! Do your work on time! Do not try to do things last minute. It only makes things worse for you. And do your blogs early. Even though they are a drag, you get expeirence with the questions for the test and you could even get extra credit if you are the first to post! how Great is that?(:
ReplyDeleteAh, blogs yes!! They are enjoyable but so easy to forget. I would set up an alarm to remind me to do them or something of that sort. One blog can become two and three and four and so on.
Deletethe later you wait to blog the more difficult it is to write , so i agree that its better to not procrastinate with the blogs.
DeleteOh My Gosh. If I could redo this year, I definitely would. For one, I would try to not fall back at the end of the semester and I would have tried to study more. US History really intrigues me, and I do see myself studying forms and docs of our nations history. I would study more on the topics I didnt know as much.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Joe!! i would do the year over and stay on top of everything, because if you let it stack up, its tough getting it all done at once. Kind of like what i am doing now. I can say i did learn alot new things this year.
DeleteIf I could take your class over, I would try to not procrastinate. Procrasination was my biggest issue when it came to your class. It interfered with my cnotes, blog posts and even time to actually study! So if I could take this class again, I would choose to do things on time, and possibly ahead of time that way id get more time to study! And that way I'd be 110% ready for the AP test :)
ReplyDeleteIf there is one thing that I enjoy finding in a teacher, it most certainly is a thorough understanding of the material that is portrayed with enthusiasm. I have spent lecture days in awe attempting to write down every word. They are simply done with so much charisma that even the most blank student would take notice to its lesson. I salute you on a job well done!
ReplyDeleteThe advice I would offer new students is to always manage your time wisely for your class work. Don't let everything bunch up and do it last minute . It is no bueno !
ReplyDeleteI completely agree! I always forgot to do my blogs and I'd end up having to rush to do it Sunday night. Sometimes, my late blogs would pile up and I'd have lots weeks to catch up on. It's such a hassle, just do it on time, or better yet, do it early!
DeleteThe advice that I will offer to new students is to not procrastinate and complete the blogs in time. Also,I encourage them to study at least half an hour a day to refresh their memory, because it is going to be very difficult trying to remember everything later on. Another good idea would be to buy an AP study guide which certainly helped me a lot. As for the the teacher they couldn't get somebody better, because she is very understanding and knows the subject very well, she is willing to help you if you need help. Just one thing do her work.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree!! Procrastination has really taken a huge toll on my grade in U.S history. The upcoming juniors should really do their blogs early to avoid this procrastination phase.
DeleteI agree and blog on time because its a hassle to blog late.
ReplyDeleteBy taking APUSH, I learned to have a greater appreciation for our nation's history. I used to wonder why we had to learn about events of the past, the past is the past! But now I know that we have to learn the past so we can take those lessons learned and apply them to the present, so we do not have to relive those mistakes. I learned to love history more because of you, Ms. Macklin. Your passion for US history made me excited to learn something new in your class. For the nest history minions, I suggest they take the blogs seriously, because they help a lot.
ReplyDeletei agree with yaji taking this class helped me learn because ms.maklin wasso positive in teaching it made me want to learn. i also agree future students should do their blog post early it does help
DeleteI gained a lot of teamwork skills and more responsibility by taking APUSH. Being in this class was a fun experience as well. For future students the advice I would give to them is to do your work and turn it in on time. Your group members are counting on you to do your part. Everything we do in class really does help on the test. I would do everything different if I took the class over again. In the future, this class will help me a lot in college and in life. I will have a better understanding of what it will be like in college. Thank you for putting up with me and teaching me to the best of your ability Mrs. Macklin.
ReplyDeleteYea, I used to never turn stuff in on time, but when I realized it was not only hurting me, it was hurting others, I immediately changed my ways. :)
DeleteIf i had to give new students advice the main point would be staying organized and on top of everything. I thought i was going to die this year when i would start seeing everything just pile up cause of the struggle.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. The first nine weeks were difficult and made me realized that if I wanted to succeed, I needed to be more organized.
DeleteTrue. If you're not on it, everything piles up. And Eventuallly you'll be stressing over everything
DeleteTrue seeing as that's what i am doing.
ReplyDeleteI really agree with Yajaira the next Minions should really try to blog early too because its harder if you wait till the end.
ReplyDeleteThis class has helped me a lot in both learning about U.S History and helping me gain skills for the future. The biggest thing that this class has taught me though, is probably just to be organized and manage my time effectively. I thought I was organized before but coming into this class gave me a huge slap on the face and made me realize, that I was no where NEAR to be being organized. I was actually a complete mess and needed help. This class taught me to be organized and just be on top of everything. This class taught me manage my time throughout the year and to be honest, I don't think I could have survived without the help from this class. Leaving this class with these skills will prepare me for the future whether it be in College or in the real world. Man, im sure glad it's finally over though. Then again, it's really never over if you think about it.
ReplyDeleteThe AP test was't what I expected. I thought it would be much much harder than what it actually was. The multiple that we took in class seemed way more difficult, and so did the DBQ's. Even though I did have trouble with it; the FRQ's were quite easy for me to write on.
ReplyDeleteThis ap test was not what i truly expexted because i believe that this test would be the hardest test i would take this year but really it wasn't. the test we took in class were way harder.what i learned from this class was that if i have work and it could effect my team mates i better do it because i dont want to he=urt their grades.if i could do this class all over again i would actually do the work not all late but on time.doing the blog post would be hard for me because i would always forget or my internet would be down. this would hurt my grade big time.what i would tell future students is dont wait till the last min to do everything . plus if you try everthing is actually pretty easy.
ReplyDeleteThis class has helped me in many ways. I became a more responsible and organized person. I learned to do my best in everything and not to give up, and for those who are coming to APUSH I give them the advise to study and to do their best and to never quit.
ReplyDeleteAs a whole my experience in APUSH was amazing. Although i struggled the second semester for certain reasons Ms. Macklin was always there to help and get me on track. Future AP students do not overlook any opportunity to get extra credit. It will come in handy when a hard subject comes up and grabs you by the legs. Do all of your blog posts early and fully,in the end they help you by preparing you for the AP exam. Don't forget to study. The information won't just stick you have to try. Managing your time wisely will be very important because you must turn in your assignments on time. Don't take any shortcuts or try to find an easy way out because there is not.. i tried. :( This class is a lot of fun when you understand so ask questions. That's what Ms. Macklin is there for. She is always ready to help. I will miss having her as a teacher next year but i will take everything she taught me and apply it my senior year and the rest of my life. Thank you Ms. Macklin for a wonderful year and for being an amazing teacher.
ReplyDeleteIf i could take the class a second time i would most definitely turn in my homework on time and completed, read all chapters in the American pageant instead of reading chapters assigned to me, and finally i would work more on my thesis(s) and FRQs.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the lecturs over chapters or eras that my class members and i deemed confusing. I also enjoyed the group assignments just because i received advice & clearer information from my peers.
The experience I gained in this AP class were in things like being able to work in a group, ACTUALLY studying, and actually having to sit and TRY to understand the meaning of items more than what is actually written.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I took AP history. I learned great study skills that will surely help me in college. Although sometimes it took me a while to finish my blog posts, they really helped. One of the last blog posts was actually a FRQ on the AP test! Speaking of the AP test, I'm also glad that I took that. Even if I didn't do that well on it, which I'm not hoping for, it definitely prepared me for college. I now know that I have to study harder, and that just watching the History Channel does not count. I did my best this year, and thanks to everything we did, I'll do even better next year. Class of 2014!
ReplyDeleteBlog posts are really helpful and im glad that i got them done... eventually. Studying will play a vital role next year and in college.
DeleteIn future classes i know i need to STUDY alot more. If i take school next year as i did this year, im not going to graduate.
ReplyDeleteThis Ap course was really rewarding for me. I personally have always hated history, mainly because i was never really good at it. No matter what, no information would ever stick to my brain. Honestly this is the first time I actually learn something in a history class. Also i had never worked in a study group before. I could never find it in me to trust others with such an important thing like my grade. At first it was so hard to trust iban, Marlon , Ana and mitchelle because i never had to trust anyone else but they did an amazing job as my study group and now i trust them not only in school but with pesonal things as well. We got really close and i gained the experience of having a study group.
ReplyDeleteaww same here liz :)
DeleteIf i could take the class again, i would! I would organize my time more wisely, and set aside time to do my work and actually get my blogs in on time! I always had a hard time getting my blogs in, i would advise the following AP students to organize their time and remember to do their blogs weekly, and not fall back on them like i did. Overall the experience was wonderful! I had the opportunity to learn new things this year and i really do appreciate you Mrs. Macklin for your lectures, caring for your students, and having patience with us! You are a great teacher.
ReplyDeleteI would offer some advice to the new students and that would be do not procrastinate. Leaving everything to very end would make it a lot harder to get work done and it will put more stress on the person. When you complete your work on time, you will have spare time in the end to do what ever you want to do. The reason why is because education is more important than playing games because education would help you further advance in life.
ReplyDeleteI've learned a lot from this class. It taught me that procrastinating will just make things harder. You have to do everything ahead of time so you can not stress later. The AP test was exactly what I expected it to be. It was challenging. If I could take over the class I'd probably work twice as hard as I did this year. The advice I would give to the juniors coming up is that they should work hard on everything, not just one thing. This class really did help because it somewhat prepared me for the future
ReplyDeleteTaking AP history has really been an experience. Some advice to the new history minions would be to get everything done on time and ask lots of questions. Be an active student and pay attention in class. Everything Ms. Macklin says is helpful at one point or another. Also be alert for whenever she says "hint hint, nudge nudge, know what i mean know what i mean?" Odds are the information she just shared will be on an upcoming assignment. Look EVERYTHING up. Dig deep into history and if you still dont get it go to tutorials. MS. Macklin is always willing to help but you have to say you need help, she wont just assume. Good luck and kick academic butt. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Luis. But they should be alert for whenever Ms. Macklin speaks. They will test over it sooner or later!
DeleteAdvice I would give to incoming students is to do your blogs and turn in everything in time. You may think that you may have time to turn it in, and you do, but if you want to pass and succeed in APUSH, you HAVE to turn in everything on time. And when I mean everything, I mean EVERYTHING. Just one little worksheet that seems insignificant can drastically change your grade, so you better do it.
ReplyDeletei agree with you greatly Samuel i have learned first hand
DeleteAlthough this wasnt my first year in a AP class i realized that i need to get alot of things together in my life. i need to re-prioritze. in the end i learned that i am i bright student once i put my mind to it. i am greatful that this class taught me this.
ReplyDeleteThis AP course teaches us that we can not procrastinate and to always do things to the full extent. This was the toughest class I have ever taken, and even though Ms. Macklin is an amazing teacher and is always there for assistance and extra credit, she can't help us if we don't help ourselves. If I could retake this class again, I definitely would. I would be more focused and work-driven. This class has also taught us some life lessons that we will need in the near future. The AP was much more easier than I expected, well the multiple choice was.
ReplyDeleteWell I suppose when it comes to this class, regardless in the fact that I came really late, I would have to say that it was a challenge because I thought it was going to much easier, but I was sadly mistaken. This class made realize that I have to actually fix my time drastically in order to fit in a study time and working time and other things in order to help me achieve a greater education. In the end the class very enjoyable and fun.
ReplyDeleteIn taking this class, i have learned a lot. Unfortunately in my case i had to learn the hard way. Mrs.McDonald's AP US history class has taught me more than just some history about my country, it taught me whats important and what's not. She taught me how to be how to be organized and how to well manage my time. I do not regret taking this class because if i didn't then i would probably be in a regular history class getting all A's for doing foldables. I would of never known what its like to fail, what its like to be so overwhelmed by the work that i just give up. That is a feeling that i'm so glad i went through in high school than in college. This class really does prepare you for college and i know now what to expect throughout college. Overall i really enjoyed my US history class.
ReplyDelete
